My name is Rebekah Johnson and I was born in Davenport, Iowa. I was raised by my father, along side my two siblings. My father, being a single parent, taught me quickly that good things come to those who work hard. I was a five sport athlete in high school and went on to be a collegiate soccer player, while earning my bachelors degree. After receiving my bachelors degree and obtaining my license in nursing, I began practicing and am currently still employed as a registered cardiac nurse in an acute care hospital.
Along with my love for nursing, I am also a nationwide certified personal trainer and nutritional coach. I began my career as personal trainer/nutritional dietitian six years ago. Three of those years were also spent competing in the IFBB as a professional figure competitor. Soon after my third year, competing transitioned into a different role within the fitness industry which had me traveling around the United States doing photo shoots and being an online fitness influencer (@rebekahlea_fitness).
Currently, I am married to one of the most beautiful souls, my husband, who has made my dreams come true by blessing me with a step daughter and a son of my own. After giving birth to my son I wanted more, needed more, and sought out a career that would help utilize my background in art. After signing up for my first Microblading procedure, I was intrigued. Kim Steinhauser, my Microblading technician and mentor, helped guide me in the direction of Cosmetic Aesthetic’s where I met Taryn Quinterri who I obtained my technician certification through. I received my permit to tattoo through the State of Iowa Department of Health shortly after. Being in the medical field for roughly 15 years, I learned an immense amount of information regarding the physiological way the body works, safe medical practice, and infectious control.
To be able to combine my knowledge of health, art, and physical beauty into a career is an absolute dream. Semi- permanent makeup and cosmetic tattooing is definitely a new found love rather than just a day in and day out job. I’m very fortunate and blessed to be able to meet new people, help others feel more comfortable and confident in the way they feel and look, all the while doing what I love everyday.
